As you may have heard from our students, the PR Middle School playground has an awesome new gaga pit! The FMS used their funds to have this built by a local contractor, Sikkema Construction. Steve Sikkema used composite decking instead of treated lumber for the walls to make this structure safe for our children as well as long lasting. The corner brackets and supports were designed and fabricated by another local business, Lockhart Fabrication and Mechanical, LLC., owned by Christopher Lockhart. The gaga pit sits on concrete, but has a thick rubber floor to protect hands from getting scraped up. We believe our students will respect and appreciate this equipment, helping it to sustain many years of fun play. Thanks to everyone involved in making this possible for our kids!
